![]() ![]() Just wondering if anyone else has encountered these problems or if people can duplicate them with the url's provided. Instead, the 1st article is downloaded 2 or more times depending on the total number selected. Also if 2 or more items are selected manually and OK is clicked, information on all of the selected articles does not download. ![]() ![]() The 'select all' and 'deselect all' buttons do NOT work. There is also a problem with this though. If I use something like Google Scholar (e.g., ) and click on the button a red box appears in the bottom right corner of the screen and I get another box that is titled Zotoro Item Selector that allows me to select various documents on the Google Scholar page. Similarly, for pdf pages the button blinks but nothing gets downloaded e.g., When it is not greyed out and I click on it, the button blinks but nothing gets downloaded e.g., The Button appears in the menu bar but it is sometimes greyed out for many web pages although at other times it is not. I then installed the Zotero Connector for Safari but it is not working for me. If that's the case, you should reset the path so that it is blank and the default location is used.I downloaded Standalone Alpha and was able to link to my libraries in Firefox no problem. Note that the path should not include “Zotero” in any way, and if it does you previously configured it incorrectly. If another location is listed (e.g., /Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/Office/Startup/Word, from an earlier version of Word), clearing the setting and letting Word use the default location may fix installation problems and allow Zotero to install the plugin automatically going forward. Generally, no location should be listed, causing Word to use the default location. Click on “File Locations” under “Personal Settings” and click on “Startup” at the bottom of the list. In Word, open the “Word” menu in the top-left of the screen and select “Preferences”. If changes you make to the Startup folder aren't taking effect, you can confirm that Word isn't set to a different location. Alternatively, to navigate to it in Finder, hold down Option, click the Go menu, and select Library (which is hidden by default), and then follow the rest of the path. (~/Library refers to the Library folder within your home directory.) You can open it from the Finder by pressing Cmd-Shift-G and copying in the path. The default location of the Startup folder is ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content/Startup/Word. If that's the case, you should reset the path to the default location. You can then open a new File Explorer dialog and paste the path into the address bar to open the Startup folder. With just the connector installed, I cannot use Word with Zotero for citations, only the safari. With 5.0, Word and Zotero works, but I cannot use the safari extension because it is not there. I downloaded both Zotero 5.0 and the connector. I just told you everything I did multiple times. Click Cancel to close the dialog without making changes. Those instructions did not work for this circumstance. In the window that opens, click the whitespace to the right of the path in the location bar at the top and copy the complete path to the clipboard by pressing Ctrl-C. The Startup folder should be listed there. In the Word ribbon, click the File tab, click Options, and click Advanced. Clicking this button will import the PDF file alone into your library and then automatically attempt to retrieve information about it. If you run into any issues using Zotero on Semantic Scholar. From there you can navigate to Microsoft\Word\Startup. Safari: PDFs If you are viewing a PDF file in your browser, the save button will show a PDF icon. By selecting the Zotero extension on your browser, the paper information, URL, PDF. The AppData folder may be hidden on your system, but you can get there by opening the Windows File Explorer, typing %AppData% in the address bar, and pressing Enter, which will take you into the Roaming directory. The default location of the Startup folder is C:\Users\::username::\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\Startup, where ::username:: is your computer username. ![]()
