![]() Talos Principle ran the full gamut of baby easy, slowly scaling up to balls hard, and then further still up to your-brain-on-drugs hard when it came to the secret "star" puzzles. A lot of puzzle games either start hard and stay hard, or start easy and stay easy. I think for most people this is probably a negative, but for me it was a big positive. The difficulty of the puzzles was all over the place. "We really thought we could save the world." Fantastic and heartbreaking. The voice acting on the taped messages was amazing. I wasn't a fan of the game's atheist message or the rather boring tile puzzles, but most everything else was really solid for a puzzle game. I played that game a while ago, loved it overall. ![]() Overall, I had a good time playing it and if you are into puzzle games you already know of it but I highly suggest ya’ll to play it if you haven’t already The puzzles in the mountain section in the C area: I don’t know if it was becase they were genuinely hard or if I already got tired of playing and wanted to finish the game already but those were the ones that gave me the most trouble because I had to look up the solution except for maybe 2 or 3 The puzzles with the recorder: I was able to beat some of them by myself, but for most of them I had to look up a walkthrough because I just couldn’t figure out the solution. Also, I played the spanish version and I loved the voices of Elohim and Alexandra I enjoyed listening to the voice notes left by Alexandra Drennan and I wish that there were more. The story: for what I understood, the game takes place inside of a virtual created reality thatin which you are a subject that has to beat the puzzles guided by Elohim, the entity that countrols wverything inside of the VR to reach the eternity and the cycle repeats, like those experiments in which an AI learns how to overcome obstacles (even tho there is other ending, but I don’t know much about it to talk about). The music: there aren’t a lot of songs, but I liked each one of them, and even when I wanted to take a short break I’d pause the game only to have the pause menu song in the background while I did something else The visuals: there are 3 main areas, A, which is if I’m not wrong a garden with an ancient Greece theme, B resembling the ancient Egypt and C, which takes place inside of a cathedral but the levels are diveded between a medieval castle and a snowy mountain, being my favorite the ancient egypt The old /r/patientgamers Essential Games List Please use flair to display what games you’re currently playing, not a punch line, username, tag, URL, or signature.
